Illusione CG4 White Horse – Prelight:
The wrapper for the Illusione CG4 White Horse is a medium-brown with minimal veins present and hardly any oil or tooth visible. This cigar is very well constructed with no soft spots and the cap remains flawless even after I hit it with my V-cut. From the foot, I’m getting earthy tobacco and sweet hay. The cold draw offers spice, earthy tobacco, and sweetness.
Illusione CG4 White Horse – Smoking Experience
The first two puffs come out swinging with a nice shot of pepper before giving way to a balance of earth, coffee, chocolate sweetness, cashew, leather, and a mild, unidentified spicy finish. The second third brings forth roasted cashew as the main flavor with leather, earth, a hint of caramel, and a nutmeg finish. The unidentified spicy flavor remains in the background in this third. It finally hits me — Sweet Cayenne Pepper! I should’ve gotten that from the jump since it’s in every BBQ recipe I use. The final third is my favorite of this cigar. If you don’t know, Goobers are my favorite junk food. This segment is like heavy chocolate covered peanuts with leather, some caramel, and nutmeg on the finish.
Illusione CG4 White Horse – Burn and Draw
The burn on the White Horse was very consistent. It was never straight, always a little wavy, but never required fixing. The draw was a tad bit to tight for my liking but did not take away from the smoking experience. The White Horse produced a moderately thick and chewy smoke.
Family, sports, and music keep me going I'm always down to try new cigars!!
